The effect of different planting schemes on the yield and marketable product indicators of Armenian cucumber cv. Azhur

The study was conducted in 2023-2024 under the central soil and climatic conditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan to determine the effect of different planting schemes on the yield and marketable productivity of Armenian cucumber cv. Azhur. The planting schemes of (140+70)/2×30, (140+70)/2×40, (140+70)/2×50 and (140+70)/2×60 cm were evaluated, with (140+70)/2×40 cm used as the control. The results showed that increasing the feeding area increased the number of fruits and yield per plant. According to the two-year average, the highest total yield, 39.0 t/ha, was obtained with the (140+70)/2×50 cm planting scheme, which was 2.4 t/ha or 6.6% higher than the control. Under this treatment, marketable yield reached 36.1 t/ha, accounting for 92.6% of the total yield. The results indicate that the (140+70)/2×50 cm planting scheme is the most appropriate for obtaining high yield and marketable-quality production of Armenian cucumber cv. Azhur.
