The article analyzes the phosphorus nutrition characteristics of oil flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) and the impact of phosphorus fertilizer rates on plant growth, yield components, seed yield, and seed oil content. Based on scientific literature and a standard field experiment design, the study elucidates the patterns of change in the number of bolls, 1000-seed weight, seed yield, and oil yield as the P2O5 application rate increases. It is demonstrated that excessive phosphorus application does not always result in additional yield and that the optimal rate depends on the level of mobile phosphorus in the soil, moisture availability, and specific cultivar characteristics.
