Abstract

The study investigated the efficiency of growing foreign cotton varieties JH-218, JH-332, JH-219, and JH-242 using a 76x10x11x1 planting scheme with a plant density of 220-240 thousand plants/ha. Drip irrigation under polyethylene film and traditional furrow irrigation in open-field conditions were compared. Based on phenological observations, plant height, number of true leaves, fruiting branches, squares, flowers, bolls, and boll opening rate were determined. The results showed that cotton growth and development were higher under drip irrigation with polyethylene film. In particular, the JH-332 variety demonstrated the highest performance. It was established that this technology contributes to increasing the efficiency of cotton production.
