Measures for protecting vineyards and orchards from pests and diseases

Abstract

This article analyzes the patterns of spread of the main insect pests and fungal diseases widespread in vineyards and perennial orchards in the conditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the environmental factors affecting their development, and modern methods of combating them. In recent years, as a result of increased precipitation and high air humidity in the spring, the prevalence of diseases such as mildew, oidium, anthracnose, moniliosis, scab and powdery mildew has been significantly increasing. At the same time, grape moth, spider mites, aphids and other economically important insect pests also have a negative impact on yield. During the study, the phytosanitary condition of vineyards and orchards was monitored and the dynamics of the development of pests and diseases were assessed. The effectiveness of the integrated use of agrotechnical, biological and chemical protection measures in limiting diseases was substantiated. It was shown that compliance with the timing and norms of application of fungicides and insecticides is an important factor in limiting the spread of diseases, maintaining crop quality and increasing economic efficiency. The results of the study are of scientific and practical importance for improving the integrated protection system in vineyards and orchards, ensuring phytosanitary stability and producing high-quality and export-oriented products.
