Abstract

This study investigated the mechanical composition and agrochemical properties of soils from the Yusuf Ota farming enterprise located in the Bustanliq district of Tashkent region, Uzbekistan. Soil samples were collected from the 0-30, 30-50 and 50-70 cm layers and analyzed for humus content, nitrate nitrogen, available phosphorus and exchangeable potassium. The results showed that the soils were moderately supplied with humus and well supplied with potassium, whereas the contents of nitrogen and phosphorus varied depending on soil depth. The obtained findings provide a scientific basis for evaluating soil fertility and improving fertilizer management in the cultivation of medicinal plants under foothill conditions.
