Abstract

The article provides information on the land resources and agrochemical composition of rainfed soils used in agriculture in the Baxmal district of Jizzakh region. The study covers typical gray soils, dark gray soils, mountain brown carbonate soils, typical mountain brown soils, slightly dealkalized mountain brown soils, and light chestnut meadow-steppe soils. Depending on the degree of soil erosion and slope exposure, the article reveals variations in morphological characteristics, structure, and mechanical composition, as well as differences in the content and availability of humus, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
