The article examines the economic significance of product returns and after-sales services in e-commerce. Product returns are considered not only as a means of protecting consumer interests but also as a management process affecting business costs, recovery of returned product value, customer retention and repeat purchases. Based on consumer complaints in Uzbekistan, current legal requirements and international research, the main economic losses associated with product returns are identified. The article proposes an improved approach based on preventing avoidable returns, accelerating return processing, recovering the economic value of returned goods and evaluating the results of after-sales services.
