Yield and fruit quality indicators of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) varieties under Surkhandarya region conditions

Abstract

This article presents the results of productivity dynamics and fruit quality evaluation of local and introduced pomegranate varieties planted in 2015 under a 4x3 m scheme in the conditions of Surkhandarya region during 2020-2022. According to research results, the highest yield performance per bush and per unit area compared to the control variety "Qozoqi anor" was achieved by "Zubayda-667" (22.9 kg/bush; 190.8 c/ha), "Gyulashe" (22.8 kg/bush; 190.2 c/ha), and "Kirmizi kabux" (22.0 kg/bush; 183.5 c/ha). In terms of total soluble solids, "Zubayda-667" demonstrated the highest concentration (18.5 °Bx).
