Current problems and untapped opportunities of IT Park activities in the development of the regional economy of the Republic of Karakalpakstan

Abstract

This article analyzes the development trends, existing problems, and untapped opportunities of IT Park activities in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The study uses indicators such as the number of IT Park residents, volume of services, IT service exports, IT education, human capital, and digital infrastructure. The main challenges identified include the geographical remoteness of the region, insufficient availability of qualified IT specialists, limited access to international markets, underdeveloped university-business cooperation, and territorial disparities in IT activity.
