Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations of studying demographic processes. It comparatively examines classical and modern approaches to explaining population dynamics, including Malthusian theory, the demographic transition concept, and economic theories of fertility. The study also highlights the characteristics of demographic transition stages in Uzbekistan and demonstrates the practical significance of theoretical approaches for developing demographic policy.
