Econometric assessment of production factor elasticity in the agricultural food supply chain
Keywords:
supply chain, elasticity, agriculture, Cobb–Douglas production function, Solow residual, total factor productivity, TFP, DOLSAbstract
This article presents an empirical assessment of the elasticity of production factors in the agricultural sector and decomposes the contribution of total factor productivity (TFP) using the Solow residual method within the context of optimizing the agricultural food supply chain. The study is based on annual statistical data for the Republic of Uzbekistan covering the period from 2016 to 2025. A four-factor Cobb–Douglas production function in log-linear form was estimated using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares (DOLS) methods.
