The article examines the role of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in strengthening food security and the assessment of their effectiveness in Uzbekistan. We propose the Food Security Digitalization Efficiency Index (FSDEI) of five blocks and 20 indicators: block weights are set by experts and indicator weights by the entropy method. Our analysis shows that the highest marginal effect of digital solutions arises not in production but in reducing post-harvest losses and in agro-logistics. An illustrative approbation shows the index rising from 0.262 (2022) to 0.408 (2026); reaching the 2030 target (0.604) requires annual growth of at least 10.3%. The problems are grouped into eight clusters, and eight priority directions are substantiated.
