With the efficient use of irrigated lands, crop rotation systems enable the harvesting of two crops per year through the planting of cover and green manure crops following winter wheat; utilizing the grain from both harvests as fodder or green manure contributes to the accumulation of soil organic matter and the preservation and restoration of soil fertility. Planting fine-staple cotton after winter wheat and catch crops ensures successful plant growth and productivity, resulting in a cotton yield increase of 3–5 t/ha compared to the control variant.
