Abstract

The article theoretically and methodologically examines the principles governing the economic mechanism for enhancing the competitiveness of private medical services. It is substantiated that, given such specific characteristics of the medical services market as information asymmetry, social significance, the difficulty of assessing quality in advance, and the need for government regulation, the direct application of general market principles to the economic mechanism is insufficient. The author's approach integrates the principles of creating value for patients, prioritizing quality and safety, economic incentives, price–outcome proportionality, competitive neutrality, information transparency, innovation, resource efficiency, institutional coherence, accountability, and adaptability into a unified system. The relationship between the economic content of these principles, the instruments for their implementation, and competitiveness outcomes is revealed.
