Abstract

This study evaluated the economic efficiency of different onion set planting patterns for bulb onion production under the conditions of Uzbekistan. Field experiments were conducted during 2022-2024 using the Istiqbol and Malla cultivars. Production costs, bulb yield, gross income, net profit, production cost per unit, and profitability were comparatively analyzed under different planting patterns. The results showed that the four-row planting pattern ((40+10+10+10))/4 × 8 cm provided the highest yield, the lowest production cost, the greatest net profit, and the highest profitability, making it the most economically efficient planting pattern for bulb onion production.
