This article examines the organizational and economic mechanisms for the innovative development of the food industry in the region. The interrelationships between food production, processing, packaging and storage, transportation, market and retail trade processes, as well as issues related to their effective organization, are considered. In addition, domestic and external demand for food products, import and export processes, and economic relations with consumers are systematically analyzed. Based on the research results, scientific and practical proposals and recommendations have been developed to enhance the competitiveness of the food industry and accelerate its innovative development.
