This study analyses interregional economic disparities using statistical and economic-mathematical methods. It demonstrates that simple comparisons are insufficient and highlights the importance of indicators such as range, standard deviation, and the coefficient of variation. The study also examines the role of the Gini coefficient and the Theil index in assessing income inequality and regional imbalances. The findings indicate that a comprehensive approach is essential for accurately evaluating disparities and improving regional development policy.
