The role of foreign trade and export potential in the regional economic growth of the Republic of Karakalpakstan

Abstract

This article analyzes the impact of foreign trade activities on regional economic growth and the state of utilizing export potential in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The study utilized official statistical data from the Department of Statistics of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The dynamics of foreign trade turnover, exports, imports, and the foreign trade balance for 2023-2025 were studied. It also analyzes the structure of exports of goods and services in 2025, indicators of the main export partner countries, exports of fruits and vegetables, textiles and services.
