Abstract

The article examines the digital transformation of tourism as a mechanism for the structural diversification of the service sector. The purpose of the study is to reveal the causal relationship between changes in the digital architecture of tourism activities and the expansion of the sectoral, product, organizational, and territorial composition of the service economy. The methodology is based on a qualitative content analysis of fifteen uploaded publications, as well as comparative and structural-functional approaches. It was established that the diversification effect arises not from the isolated automation of operations, but from the integration of data, platforms, stakeholders, and service channels. The author proposes a model comprising infrastructural, process, product, ecosystem, and institutional dimensions. Measures to ensure data interoperability, support small businesses, develop digital competencies, and manage risks are substantiated. The results can be applied in developing strategies for tourism organizations and destinations.
