Assessing the impact of digital transformation on regional entrepreneurship efficiency: based on the Digital Readiness Index

Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive assessment of the impact of digital transformation on regional entrepreneurship efficiency on the basis of the Digital Readiness Index. The study summarizes panel data for 14 regions of Uzbekistan for 2018-2024. The findings show that higher digital readiness significantly increases entrepreneurship efficiency, while digital infrastructure, human capital and institutional adaptability play the most important roles. The paper also confirms the existence of regional digital gaps, a threshold effect and the need for differentiated policy support.
